Rating: 8/10 Review: This was a welcome breath of relief from the previous book I read. This relatively short novel felt easy and quick which was exactly what I was hoping it would be. Eve is born with the heart and the looks of a lion. She is kept away from the public by her … Continue reading The Palace of Curiosities – Rosie Garland
This well worth the time to read!
This article by the Guardian came up on my Facebook feed a few days ago. It is really interesting and it says a lot of things that make a lot of sense. Have a read of it if you are a reader or know people who should be reading more:
One of the things this article states is that people who read, we live for 2 whole years longer than people who don’t read. Well there are a lot of people I know who don’t read, so it’s comforting to know I might live longer than them in the end.
So the more you read, the longer you will get to read. How cool is that? Well that’s if the research is true and right.

Some days though, I'm just not in the mood to absorb any more information. On those days, I just sit and stare out the window. … Continue reading The Evening Chorus – Helen Humphreys
Rating: 6.5/10 Review: Writing this review is a great distraction from the extremely loud conversation happening outside my apartment window. "She loves you. She does not love him. She told me that she is exhausted and that she is tired and that she needs help and I've been...." Ah love... so passionate... so fiery so... LOUD. And … Continue reading The Girl On The Train – Paula Hawkins
Last night, I had a conversation with a friend that really opened my eyes. She loves books. She has an incredibly neat and well arranged bookcase that she is immensely proud of. In her house, no book goes unloved. So you can imagine my shock when I found out that she had thrown a book in the … Continue reading I Will Not Finish This Book
Rating: 7.5/5 Review: I love seeing the weird and wacky parts of life. I love reading about things that I will never (hopefully never) experience. I love looking through the eyes of horrible, deranged people and going along for the rollercoaster ride that are their thoughts. However, I've never read from the perspective of such … Continue reading Room – Emma Donoghue
